Embrace Home Loans

Designing the Journey Home. The visuals behind Embrace's promise of a smoother path to homeownership.

As a graphic designer at Embrace Home Loans, I built visual assets that brought the company's brand to life across marketing and internal communications, from custom illustration work to design systems used company-wide. I also had a hand in updating the brand guideline deck along the way.

Custom Imagery, Logos,
and Animations

Created custom illustrations, photo manipulations, and animations to support advertising initiatives.

I created playful, on-brand imagery for Embrace's main social profiles, built as reusable systems that could flex across different posts and platforms. Event flyers worked differently, with imagery built around a specific deal or event, since loan officers across the company would run different promotions at any given time. I also created logos for individual loan officer teams and animations for video outros and social content.

Below are custom outros I designed for Embrace’s video content. Initially I was tasked with creating an animation that could be used as an outro for any Embrace video. However, Embrace’s loan officers operate by maintaining close connections with their individual communities. Thus, I created a variation of the outro that could be tailored for individual loan officers’ socials.

In addition to these outros, I created animated social posts for Embrace’s monthly “star” loan officers. With the system I created, months, headshots, and funding numbers can be easily swapped after each month so we could post these as soon as the next month started.

As mentioned before, while Embrace operated in cities and towns along the East Coast, individual loan officers operated by keeping close connections with their community. Thus, loan officer teams would have individualized logos outside from the main Embrace logo. When a loan officer would request to update their brand, or a new loan officer would join the team, I was tasked with creating their new logos.

Refreshed Brand Guidelines

Aided in updated Embrace’s outdated brand guidelines to guide loan officers and outside help.

When I arrived at Embrace, their brand guidelines were not only nearly 10 years old, but also didn’t embody the style they were supposed to be a guide to. I helped in updating the guide from one that was rather bare bones, to one that was emblematic of a 700+ employee finance firm.

Turning Manual Workflows into Scalable Systems

Streamlining data input so you can create personalized graphics at scale using InDesign tooling.

I built a data-merge system in InDesign that pulled loan officer information directly from Excel, generating individualized print campaigns for each loan officer across the company from a single template file. Instead of manually placing names, headshots, contact details, and license numbers for every officer, one data set could populate an entire campaign's worth of personalized print pieces at once, cutting what used to be hours of manual layout work down to minutes.

Individualized Campaign
Rollout Planning

Built pre-established graphic rollout plans for departments and realtor partners, giving each agent everything needed to run a cohesive, on-brand campaign.

For local loan officer seminars, I put together full campaign decks mapping out exactly when to post across social, email, and print in the weeks leading up to each event. Each touchpoint had its own asset, timed to build awareness as the seminar approached, from the first announcement down to a same-day reminder. Loan officers could pull straight from the deck and know exactly what to post and when, without having to figure out the timing or messaging themselves.
